Mobile’s Christmas & Holiday Parade will feature floats and balloons sponsored by the city of Mobile and local companies including Austal, Briggs Equipment, Bicentennial Commission of Mobile County, USA Children's & Women's Hospital, Hampton Inn & Suites Downtown Historic District, wellbornIdeas, WALA Fox 10/Studio 10 and more. The parade will also feature holiday music from the Murphy, Davidson, and Alma Bryant High School marching bands, as well as the James Seals Community Band and the Thomas Sullivan Band. Other groups that participate in the parade include the Azalea Trail Maids, the Mobile International Festival, the Battleship Crewmates and the Shrine Street Camels. The holiday procession will also include antique vehicles, area school children and dance.
As an accompaniment to the Christmas & Holiday Parade, Christmas Kid’s Day Activities will run between 12:00 and 3p.m. in Cathedral Square, with free fun activities such as face painting, karaoke, balloon clowns, and a holiday themed craft project. A special Holiday Market on the Square from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. in Cathedral Square will take place as well. The market will feature fresh fruits, veggies, breads, and pastas perfect for holiday parties along with hand-crafted gifts from local artisans and craftsmen.
